The return of The Rock to WWE television during the Day 1 edition of Monday Night RAW ended in big way after The Great One teased a potential bout with Roman Reigns. He followed it up by assuming a new role in TKO and now his WrestleMania 40 status has been revealed.

The highly anticipated match between The Rock and Roman Reigns was initially planned for WrestleMania 39, but due to The Rock’s busy schedule, he couldn’t be physically prepared for the bout. There’s now a high chance that the clash between the two wrestling icons will finally take place at WrestleMania.

TKO Holdings Group sent shockwaves through the professional wrestling world by introducing Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as new member of their Board of Directors. This groundbreaking decision has made a profound impact on the wrestling community for many reasons.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that as of now, The Rock has not officially signed for WrestleMania. While he strongly hinted at his interest during an appearance on First Take, it’s not a done deal.

The Rock wants to participate in WrestleMania this year, but there are considerations about the potential value he could bring to Saudi Arabia, with some interested parties pushing for that option. The situation is still in play, and nothing is confirmed yet.

“As far as WrestleMania goes, he has not signed as of today as far as I know for WrestleMania. He was on First Take and strongly hinted at it. It is absolutely in play and not a done deal. He wants to do WrestleMania this year. There are forces that are interested in how much value he could bring to Saudi Arabia but he would rather do WrestleMania as it stands now.”

The ball is in play and nothing is one-hundred percent. There is people that would like to convince him that if there is a ton of extra money in Saudi Arabia than to do it there.”

The Rock also believes a match with Roman Reigns would be the biggest match of all time. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see whether The Rock vs Roman Reigns will take place at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
