Kazuchika Okada, having achieved a ton of success in NJPW, is set to part ways with the promotion after this month. In light of his departure, his status for the Royal Rumble has now been revealed.

As reported earlier, Kazuchika Okada is poised to become free agent at the end of January. The promotion has officially announced that Okada will be parting ways with the company after this month.

This marks the end of The Rainmaker’s illustrious tenure with NJPW, where he emerged as one of professional wrestling’s prominent figures. Fans are now eagerly speculating about which promotion will secure a deal with him next.

While speaking on his Q&A episode behind Fightful’s paywall, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Kazuchika Okada making his way to WWE at the Royal Rumble. Ross Sapp made it clear Okada’s contract will expire on January 31st, thereby not making him eligible for the Rumble unless some special deal is done.

”His deal is up on January 31st, so he’s not eligible to enter the Royal Rumble or anything like that unless a special agreement is put in place, but he is also committed to dates after his contract is up.”
