The pro wrestling world has a lot of contract situations going on right now, and some companies are going to lose talent. It appears that another name has a big contract crossroads ahead of them.

NJPW just celebrated Wrestle Kingdom 18, but now one star’s contract is coming to an end. It will be interesting to see what they do next.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that another New Japan Pro Wrestling name has a contract set to expire this month. It turns out that NJPW talent Alex Coughlin’s contract with the company is set to expire in January.

Coughlin has been a member of Bullet Club War Dogs, and has been a part of NJPW for over five years. As of now, we have not learned if New Japan has approached Coughlin for a new deal. Several members of the stable have contracts set to expire ahead of a major announced match with United Empire.

WWE could have interest in picking up another talent from NJPW. They have looked to the company in the past, and found success in signing a few of those names. Then again, you never know what Tony Khan may be planning as well.

We will have to see if NJPW approaches Couglin about a new deal. At this point, it may just be a waiting game.
