CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, and Seth Rollins appeared to be enraged. It was later said that Rollins was looking for Punk backstage, but then it was reported that it was all an angle. That said, Rollins does have a genuine sense of disdain towards Punk. In fact, he went after CM Punk again during a WWE live event.

During the WWE live event in Utica, Seth Rollins defended his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura. After his win, he started to cut a promo but was then interrupted by CM Punk chants.

This prompted The Visionary to jokingly ask who CM Punk was before he decided to challenge Punk’s moniker of Best In The World, making it clear that he is the best in the business – not Punk.

Excuse me, who’s that? Wait wait wait, serious question is, was that guy on the show tonight? No no no. Hey hey hey, maybe one of these days he’ll grow a set and he’ll come up here. He’s the best in the world right? No no no, in all seriousness, I’m the freakin’ best in the world. Because every single town, every single night, I show up and I show out.”

Seth Rollins also explained why he has disdain for CM Punk. CM Punk’s first major feud will be with familiar foe. It remains to be seen how WWE will book Punk and Rollins’ feud in the coming months.
