WWE has a lot of things going on, especially in the NXT brand. One Superstar, who is sadly injured, saw their gear get some screen time this week even if they couldn’t wear it.

Ringside News provided comprehensive play-by-play coverage of NXT this week. It was quite a show as they built toward Halloween Havoc Night 1 on October 24th.

Jakara Jackson could not wrestle in the 2023 Women’s Breakout Tournament, and that was an injury that she did not want at all. Sadly, she was replaced in the tournament, but WWE didn’t have a lot of time to pick another wrestler.

Brinley Reece lost a match to Arianna Grace during NXT this week, but Reece filled in for Jakara Jackson. It seems that NXT didn’t have any time to prepare her presentation, because Reece didn’t even have gear together.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about Brinley Reece replacing Jakara Jackson. He noted that Brinley Reece never wrestled under that name before, and she also wore Sol Ruca’s gear for that match against Arianna Grace.

“Brinley Reece, I don’t think she’s even wrestled before unless she’s done some Florida shows under her real name, and they just gave her this name because she’s on TV. Originally, she wasn’t even supposed to be in the tournament, and yes, she was wearing Sol Ruca’s gear.”

Brinley Reece may have a bright future ahead of her in WWE, and she has quite a story to tell about her television debut. That might not have been in the plans, but it’s a good thing that Sol Ruca’s gear was able to fit her.

Sol Ruca is still out of action with an injury, and she had surgery in May. The latest update we heard was that she has a way to go before she is medically cleared. Thankfully, she was able to lend her gear to Brinley Reece on NXT this week to help them out in a clutch moment.
