There is no doubt that Bryan Danielson is one of the most established names in the world of professional wrestling right now. He broke his arm earlier this year but is already back and better than ever in the ring. However, Danielson doesn’t think he will ever be 100% again after his arm injury.

Brie Bella, Bryan Danielson’s wife, revealed that Danielson had complete break in his arm during AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and that his injury was worse than initially thought.

Danielson is back in the fold and has competed in solid matches so far, but fans continue to worry whether he is operating at the best of his abilities. While speaking with Sports Nightly, Bryan Danielson provided an update on his injury, revealing that due to the metal road his arm, there’s the risk of suffering a break again where the rod ends. Danielson also stated that he doesn’t think he will ever be 100% again after his arm injury.

“It’s doing okay. I think by continually wrestling on it, I’m slowing it down from healing 100%. Us older wrestlers like to say, we never anticipated being 100% ever again. So I think that’s kind of where I’m at. It’s fully functional. I can do pull-ups and I can do all these different sorts of things.”

“There’s nothing that’s going to happen to the bone because they put a rod in it with nine screws. The dangerous part, the doctor said, is actually where, if it were to break again, it’s easier to break where the rod ends, because the rod itself acts as a fulcrum that it could bend against. But then really, it’s like the nerve and muscle damage. Part of that is because I wrestled for 10 minutes with a broken arm and then part of it is just the work that we do.”

Bryan Danielson had a solid match against Christian Cage on this week’s episode of AEW Collision, where the TNT Championship was on the line. Danielson lost in the end, but we’ll have to see if he will eventually become a champion in the company for the first time.
