Tony Khan Faces Criticism for Allegedly Skipping Jacksonville Jaguars DirecTV Bill

Tony Khan and AEW are getting a lot of attention, but this story has to do with another one of TK’s endeavors. The Jacksonville Jaguars are going in the NFL, but it seems that Khan’s company may need to pay their DirecTV bill.

A photo is making the rounds on social media today showing a television in the Jacksonville Jaguars stadium. That television has DirecTV on, but there is also a warning.

The warning on the screen says: “To pay your bill, see directv.com/ext203.” This warning does not come up if your bill is current. The tweets going around with this image are not too kind.

“BAD LOOK: Inside the #Jaguars stadium today many of the TV’s say “PAY YOUR BILLS.”

“It appears that the Jags have not been paying their Direct TV bill.’

Fans were having a field day with this. Fans were tagging Tony Khan to ask him what happened. There was also a comment about Tony Khan spending all of his money on AEW. Another fan commented to say, “Tony Khan will blame WWE somehow.” It should be noted that Shad Khan, Tony Khan’s father, actually owns the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tony Khan is the “chief football strategy officer” for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

After speaking with someone who has experience working for DirecTV, we have learned that this notice only comes up as a last resort before someone’s service is turned off. After DirecTV is unsuccessful in charging a customer’s account, they will contact via mail, email, and text before showing a notice like that on a customer’s screen. That being said, the Jacksonville Jaguars may only have a couple of days of DirecTV service left before it is turned off.

It seems that the Jacksonville Jaguars may be a few days away from losing their DirecTV services. Perhaps, someone on Tony Khan’s payroll can pay their DirecTV bill, or someone will have to waste an afternoon on hold as they call customer service.
