Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada closed out the Forbidden Door event on Sunday. Their match might be regarded as a classic, but Danielson will always remember the moment his arm broke.

During the media scrum after Forbidden Door, Bryan Danielson revealed that he broke his arm during that match. That injury actually caused them to call an audible and pick a different ending.

Bryan Danielson suffered a suspected fracture in his right forearm with approximately ten minutes remaining in his match against Kazuchika Okada at the 2023 AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door PPV event. Now, we have a bit more news on his condition, thanks to his wife, Brie Bella.

Initially, it was anticipated that Bryan Danielson would require a recovery period of six to eight weeks. However, it now appears that his absence from action will be longer than anticipated. In an injury update, Bryan’s wife Brie shared a message along with an X-ray photo.

“Not sure to be proud or chastise him for wrestling 10 more minutes with this break!! Definitely worse than we thought!! @bryanIdanielson Nurse Brie ready for action!!”

We have no idea how this will change Bryan Danielson’ plans, or what AEW had in store for him. This hiatus for Danielson is not what he wanted at all, but he will certainly start working toward his in-ring return as soon as he can.

AEW & NJPW Forbidden Door was quite an event. Bryan Danielson won that historic match against Kazuchika Okada, but he didn’t leave the match without a nice memory. Hopefully, Danielson will be able to heal up quickly.
