Adam Cole suffered an ankle injury at AEW Grand Slam, which he ended up shattering in three different places. Naturally, this ended up ruining various plans for him in the future. He underwent surgery for the same yesterday and now Cole has broken his silence on the matter.

Fans were simply shocked when it was announced that Adam Cole suffered the aforementioned ankle injury, as he was on the run of his career in AEW alongside MJF. Regardless, fans and peers alike continued to show him a ton of support throughout.

Kevin Owens was the first to break the news that Adam Cole had surgery on Friday, which was eventually confirmed as well. Adam Cole took to Twitter and commented on his successful surgery, stating that he is okay and it will be a long & challenging road to recovery for him.

Hoping to be back on stream next week! Most importantly, I hope you all are doing amazing. I really do ♥️

AEW is still reluctant to take Adam Cole off weekly television, which is why he has been featured in humorous skits with Roderick Strong lately. We’ll have to wait and see when Cole will be able to make his long-awaited return to the squared circle.
