WWE NXT also brought star-studded show for competition on Tuesday. How did AEW Dynamite’s viewership do on Tony Khan’s birthday?

Sports TV Ratings reports that the October 10th episode of AEW Dynamite drew 609,000 viewers for their Title Tuesday special. They also drew .26 in the 18 to 49 demographic. WWE NXT drew over 900,000 viewers with their episode.

AEW presented two title changes for Title Tuesday. Saraya lost the AEW Women’s Title to Hikaru Shida. Also, Orange Cassidy was able to get the International Title back from Fenix. The night was capped off by Adam Copeland’s in-ring debut for the company as he beat Luchasarus.

The October 4th episode of AEW Dynamite brought an overnight average of 800,000 viewers, with a .28 in the 18 to 49 demographic. That was their episode with the aftermath of WrestleDream.

The go-home episode of AEW Dynamite before WrestleDream brought in 855,000 viewers on September 27th, 2023. They also captured a .28 in the 18 to 49 demographic. That was a huge drop from the previous week’s viewership, which saw around a 100k spike.

The company brought in 984,000 viewers for their Dynamite Grand Slam episode on September 20th. They also garnered a .36 in the 18 to 49 demographic.

Since Adam Copeland’s debut for the company, AEW hasn’t seen the viewership boom that they wanted. This number only adds to that disappointing trend, but they also aired this episode on Tuesday, invading WWE’s turf in the process.

AEW tried every tactic that they could this week, and WWE did the same with NXT. Both shows got overruns, and AEW even presented a Zero Hour kickoff show on YouTube. We will keep our eye on the company to see what Tony Khan does next.
