WWE is going through a lot of changes, and it appears that they just saw a huge shift in things. Triple H waited things out, and he was finally given the keys to the castle, as WWE’s creative direction is in his hands. That being said, those who knew Vince McMahon well for decades can’t believe that he’s 100% done with the company’s creative.

The rumor mill within WWE is churning at full-speed right now, as there is a belief that Triple H has been “knighted” by Endeavor, and he is now calling 99.9% of all creative shots on television. This means Vince McMahon is not conducting his daily creative duties anymore, and that is quite an interesting situation.
On September 12th, WWE and UFC formally confirmed their merger, creating TKO within the Endeavor group. Vince McMahon took a prominent role in the announcement, held in front of the New York Stock Exchange, and serves as the Executive Chairman of TKO. However, he no longer possesses the majority control of WWE.
While speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Ric Flair was asked for his thoughts on the merger. He also spoke a bit about Vince McMahon stepping away from the business, which is something he is still waiting to see how it all pans out.
“That remains to be seen. I hope Vince continues to have a lot to say about it. That’s to be seen.”
Vince McMahon ran WWE under his thumb for decades, and he made plenty of historic moments in the process. The controversies that surrounded the latter part of his career caused him to step away from the company and things transpired as they did with Endeavor stepping in to offer a merger with the UFC.
Only time will tell how Triple H handles the company’s creative direction. Late changes to television shows have diminished in recent memory, aside from injury situations, and now Vince McMahon is living a much different life where he doesn’t make every city that WWE travels through.
