Ric Flair is known for a lot of things, but he is still a human being in the end and is prone to making mistakes. The Nature Boy’s last match was memorable event, but it also had many people worried. That said, Flair has now made it clear he wants to wrestle again despite having his retirement match last year.

Ric Flair finally got the chance to retire on his own terms earlier last year. The Nature Boy teamed up with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo and faced Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett on July 31st, 2022.

Ric Flair took some scary bumps and even bled during the match, something that he promised to do prior to the event. He also faked heart attack, which made many people worry for good reason. Flair won the match, much to the relief of fans as they never wanted to see him compete ever again.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Ric Flair talked about his final match last year. The Nature Boy then made it clear that he wanted to wrestle again and admitted that it was a crazy idea. He added that Ricky Morton should have been chosen for his final match instead.

”I want to wrestle again right now. Isn’t it crazy? I feel like, because, Ricky Morton, the guy that I should have chosen for my last match, would have been great. Ricky Morton is still wrestling. You know what the best thing for me about it was? Is I forced myself to really get in shape. I’ve heard this from guys over the years. And when they were older, I was like, in my prime. The older guys would say, ‘Aye man, I’m tired of working out.’ And there gets a time when you just get bored working out. You don’t have a goal. I mean, they gave me a goal and I just attacked it. I didn’t stop drinking or anything but I was training literally training three hours a day, five days a week in the ring, or I was doing the sled, the ropes. Yeah, I got my bench press up for two-and-a-quarter. I mean, so from being dead to all that was pretty cool.”

Ric Flair is working hard at the gym already to make sure he is in shape for yet another match. Regardless, only time will tell whether The Nature Boy actually ends up wrestling again in the future.
