WWE saw some big changes over the past few weeks. Their merger with the UFC is official, and now the TKO Holdings Group is running the show. That came with a ton of layoffs as well, but it appears WWE is going to continue business as usual.

As we previously reported, WWE fired over 100 employees on Friday. Divisions like marketing, podcasting, and the WWE Network were hit especially hard in those cuts. It appears that the partnership with the UFC will help fill those gaps.

BWE noted on X that Nick Khan as sent word that there will be a meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 19th, within WWE. The purpose of that meeting will be to explore a new era for the company. It’s anyone’s guess what they will cover.

Nick Khan asked for an all staff meeting tomorrow. And welcomed everyone to a new era. “We look forward to being able to all get together in person at our new offices, and we look forward to our next chapter together.”

WWE fans didn’t have a ton of time to complain about the company firing so many members of their staff, because The Rock showed up on SmackDown and surprised everyone. The timing of The Rock’s appearance might have been a total coincidence, because Denver was so close to where Dwayne Johnson was already at in Boulder. Either way, it certainly worked out in WWE’s benefit.

We will keep an eye on this story, and so many more, in the pro wrestling world. This is certainly a new era for WWE, and that could call for many big changes throughout the company. Perhaps some of those alterations will be addressed in tomorrow’s meeting.
