Vince McMahon had to take medical leave from WWE when he had spinal surgery. That caused him to step away from WWE for a bit, but that break didn’t last long at all.

This week’s episode of WWE RAW saw several changes this week. It was later reported by Sean Sapp that Vince McMahon also made few remote changes to SmackDown last week, but they were noted as minor.

Ringside News exclusively reported at the beginning of August that Vince McMahon was “supposed to be” staying away from work, but no one in the creative team “really thinks that will last.” That being said, Vince McMahon actually started making those changes to WWE programming a lot earlier than last Friday.

We were told by a tenured member of the creative team that, “Sapp is incorrect. Vince has been making changes since just a few days after his surgery.” It’s just that fans are only hearing about those changes now.

Vince McMahon seemed to be in good spirits as TKO Holdings Group rang in the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. He is very hopeful about this new partnership, as he let everyone know his thoughts after the merger was finalized.

At this time, Vince McMahon has not been doing any interview rounds like Nick Khan and others. That being said, Vince McMahon is back to making changes to WWE programming whenever he likes, which is a position he’s been in for a while now.

What’s your take on Vince McMahon making remote changes to WWE? Does this help make the show better? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you think!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
