CM Punk is suspended from AEW, and that was after he wanted to quit at All In. He had a backstage confrontation with Jack Perry, one where a neutral source, who is not a wrestler, said that Punk “sucker punched” Perry. While that situation still unfolds with an investigation, his fans are still buying merchandise.

Wrestlenomics noted that CM Punk’s category on the ShopAEW site was the most popular, by far, over the last week. This could be due to all the extra attention that CM Punk has received since his little backstage brawl with Jack Perry.

Perhaps fans decided to pull the trigger on CM Punk merchandise now, because they assume AEW might stop selling it soon enough. Either way, CM Punk topped all other AEW competition in terms of his category on the shop.

AEW also had their production team and announcer stall for time, because they didn’t know if CM Punk was even going to go out for his match against Samoa Joe. Tony Khan actually made call to have another match go on first for All In London during that chaos.

Tony Khan was later asked about the reported heated conversation he had with CM Punk, and refrained to speak further about the investigation or the issue.

Tony Khan was almost victim as monitors almost fell on him. Things were not pretty at all. CM Punk also wanted to fight Miro in the middle of everything, but then that story was finally cleared up.
