CM Punk and Jack Perry had quite a little skirmish backstage at AEW All In London. That led to both of their suspensions, and it also started off the event with a lot of internal drama.

We previously reported that Tony Khan and CM Punk had heated argument. Tony Khan would go on to refrain from commenting on that altercation, but the report is still out there, and footage apparently exists.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that AEW’s production team and announcers were asked to stall at first. They didn’t know if CM Punk vs Samoa Joe was even going to happen.

While this was going on, the announcers and production people were told to stall because at this point nobody knew if Punk vs. Joe would happen. Nobody except those who saw the situation knew why, only told to stall before the first match.

CM Punk threatened to quit over that backstage ordeal. Samoa Joe had to convince him to go out and do the match anyway. After that, Jack Perry was removed from the building, and CM Punk left later.

We will keep an eye on this story, because there could be a lot more to unpack when everything is said and done. If anything, CM Punk’s drama in AEW is certainly not over yet.
