Former ROH World Champion Rush signed a contract with AEW after various appearances last year. Since then, he has become a valuable asset to Tony Khan’s company. He recently signed a new deal with AEW and now it appears a big reason for his decision has been revealed.
While Rush remains absent from AEW television, reports had suggested that there was uncertainty over his status in AEW, especially due to WWE being interested in signing him.
All of the uncertainty was put to rest after it was officially announced that Rush signed new contract with AEW. Rush’s manager Jose The Assistant took to Twitter and revealed why he re-signed with Tony Khan’s company. Ultimately, it was due to how Tony Khan cared about Rush’s wife and newborn.
RUSH re-signed with #AEW because of how much concern Tony showed for Rush’s wife and newborn.
Family is important to Rush, seeing how much Tony cared is what solidified the deal.
There were other offers, but NEVER any consideration to go, AEW cares, Tony cares about his people
We will have to wait and see how Rush will be booked in the coming weeks, now that he has finally re-signed with Tony Khan’s company. Needless to say, Rush will remain a valuable asset to AEW.
