LA Knight made a significant impression after his debut at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day on February 14th, 2021. After the beginning stages of his main roster run, fans were concerned he was doomed for failure. Thankfully, LA Knight would get his old gimmick back and has been impressing everyone with his talents once again. Now it appears that LA Knight was defended after allegations of ripping off The Rock and Steve Austin.

The former NXT Superstars is touted as one of the best promo workers in the company and he has given people ample examples to firmly believe in that claim. LA Knight continues to win over fans with his performance every week.

LA Knight has tried to keep himself relevant despite being put into very awkward booking situations. It is very evident that LA Knight is one of the most over WWE Superstars right now as he gets incredibly loud reactions every week.

Recently, WWE Hall Of Famer Kevin Nash blasted LA Knight for being ripoff of The Rock and Steve Austin. While speaking on his Hall Of Fame podcast, Booker T defended LA Knight against Kevin Nash’s ripoff allegations.

“You can look at it in a couple of different ways I guess. You could say, ‘Well he’s ripped a lot of Stone Cold Steve Austin off,’ [or], ‘he’s got a lot of The Rock’s cadence.’ I can see that, but I don’t look at that as [him] being a rip-off.

I definitely took a lot of things from a lot of different wrestlers and kind of like meshed it into everything that I did and I called it my own. I think that’s just what wrestlers do, especially the good ones!”

Steve Austin also believes LA Knight can also ascend to higher level in WWE. He also wants to become the WWE Universal Champion sooner than later. We’ll have to wait and see whether LA Knight will eventually become the top guy on Friday Night Smackdown eventually.

What do you think of what Booker T said? Do you think LA Knight has a bright future in WWE? Sound off in the comments!
