The Rock has made many impressions on the world, and he’s no limited to WWE. The XFL owner has also worked with the UFC, and that led to quite an interesting set of events as well.

Dana White had a controversial career marked by difficult decisions and facing the scrutiny of the MMA media. However, being the prominent figurehead of the promotion also comes with its own advantages.

One of these perks is fame. White has gained significant recognition as one of the most well-known figures in MMA, even outside the realm of fighting. This recognition led to his feature on Complex, where he showcased his impressive closet. During this glimpse into his sneaker collection, Dana White shared an intriguing anecdote about former UFC star Nate Diaz and his strong emotions towards Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Dana White recounted to Complex how Nate Diaz expressed his fury towards Johnson, stemming from the UFC’s official sneaker deal with the actor and ‘The Rock’ openly supporting Jorge Masvidal during their ‘BMF’ (Baddest Mother F*cker) bout. Dana White provided further insight into the incident, stating the following.

“Yeah, well, he was pissed off at The Rock, that’s why he said that. He was mad at The Rock, cause The Rock was rooting for, I think, Masvidal when they fought. Yeah, so, that’s what that was about.”

Following his defeat to ‘Gamebred’ at UFC 244, Nate Diaz understandably felt a certain way about things. During the post-fight press conference, he unleashed his frustration towards the decision and didn’t shy away from targeting ‘The Rock’ for backing Jorge Masvidal. However, Diaz managed to inject some humor into the intense moment by calling out his own harshness, prompting laughter from the media members in attendance.

The Rock has quite an impression on the sports and entertainment world, but that doesn’t mean everyone is a fan. Apparently, Nate Diaz had a bone to pick with the Great One, and that led to another public shot.

How many wins does The Rock need? Does someone need to make him humble? Sound off in the comments to let us know what you’re thinking!
