AEW Fight Forever is out, and now we have the numbers for their first week of sales. Video game release numbers are very important, but was AEW Fight Forever’s turnout worth the wait?

Early sales data for AEW Fight Forever has been revealed by German consumer data firm, GfK. It appears that the game did pretty well, all things considered.

The strong demand from wrestling fans seeking an alternative to the WWE 2K franchise propelled Fight Forever to the #3 spot on the UK physical retail sales charts for the week ending July 1st, 2023.

WWE did what they could to pull attention from the AEW video game. On June 29th, the same day Fight Forever dropped, WWE dropped a promo discounting their game, while proclaiming that it is the highest-rated current pro wrestling game.

In terms of first-week boxed sales, AEW: Fight Forever recorded a 40% lower figure compared to WWE 2K23, which was released in March.
