WWE presented Money in the Bank over the weekend, and London is still buzzing over the big show. There was a rumor that Zelina Vega might lose her spot to Charlotte Flair, but that wasn’t the case at all.

Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that there was no consideration to ever put Charlotte Flair in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Rumors circulated ahead of Money in the Bank that Charlotte Flair would be inserted into the Money in the Bank match, replacing Zelina. When asked about that ahead of the show, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp said he hadn’t heard of such a plan to take place. We’ve followed up and were told there wasn’t serious consideration to that and that Charlotte’s creative has been planned for a while.

It was further reported that, “Charlotte Flair’s creative to be involved with Bianca Belair and Asuka was planned and set even before she returned. We’re told that the idea was to re-establish Asuka, and have her involved with two top talent chasing her for the title, instead of the other way around to add more intrigue and suspense to the reign.”

Charlotte Flair is on her way to a big match at SummerSlam. We will have to see if there are any twists and turns along the way. If anything, Bianca Belair’s new savage nature might become more prevalent as well.

WWE has given a lot to Charlotte Flair already, but does she need another title run? Sound off in the comments!
