Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a major name in the world of professional wrestling and maintains a strong connection to the industry despite his flourishing career in Hollywood. He has done it all as far as being a pro wrestler is concerned, making a mark in WWE. He isn’t having the best of times right now after the XFL suffered a major loss in its first season. That said, it appears The Rock doesn’t seem bothered by it.

The XFL was branded as a cursed entity, as it failed for its two previous launches in the past two decades. It finally came back this year, with The Rock at the helm alongside his other business partners.

As previously reported, the XFL suffered an estimated loss of $60 million in its first year. In addition to that, ‘Young Rock’ season 3 got cancelled as well. Due to this, fans have been mocking The Great One for his recent string of bad luck.

The WWE legend took to Twitter and commented on a tweet by Forbes where they stated that The XFL will not succeed. The Rock made it clear that he is playing the long game and explained how he will eventually succeed.

I’ve tried to tell him his whole life but he’s never listened to me 😜 I play the long game in business and XFL is no exception. We saw some nice successes and took some L’s in our first season that we learn from. 75-100 XFL players will be competing in NFL camps this fall. That’s a big number that will continue to grow season over season. We’re in it for the long haul. Step by step building the league of opportunity. Like with any venture, success takes time. Thanks XFL fans for the love & support. @XFL2023 @ESPN

The XFL anticipates a significant revenue increase of $100 million in the following year. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether The Rock will have the last laugh in the end.

What’s your view on what The Rock said? Do you think the XFL will end up being a success? Let us know in the comments!
