The WWE is full of talented Superstars who have competed in various companies over the years before calling WWE their home. That said, a lot of talent have also left the company for various reasons. This includes Matt Cardona, as many people believe he will finally return to WWE soon enough. Now it appears Cardona hinted at returning to WWE yet again with his list of dream opponents.
In case you did not know, Matt Cardona was known as Zack Ryder during his time in WWE. He didn’t break the glass ceiling there and was unable to truly break out as a star there. He was eventually released by WWE in 2020 and went on to become the Indy God in the independent circuit.
Ringside News also exclusively reported that Matt Cardona is on WWE’s radar for a return. This all led to fans wondering if he will return to Vince McMahon’s company after over three years.
Matt Cardona was asked about his dream opponents on Twitter. Cardona made it clear that it was a three-way tie between three of the biggest names in WWE, naming Edge, John Cena and Cody Rhodes, all of whom remain in WWE.
Three way tie. vs. @EdgeRatedR vs. @JohnCena vs. @CodyRhodes
Matt Cardona also believes he will return to WWE eventually. We will have to wait and see whether fans will finally get to see Matt Cardona finally make his return to WWE one day.
