AEW was expected to be a part of AEW’s big Collision announcement, but that didn’t happen. Because of Punk, AEW might even change the location of Collision’s debut episode from Chicago to Daily’s Place. All of that headache might also come with a lawsuit.

During a recent Twitter spaces, Raj Giri stated that AEW laid down the law with CM Punk, literally. The company reportedly said that CM Punk is going to return to work, or they are going to sue him.

“AEW sent a legal notice to Punk yesterday that he either has to comply or they’re gonna file a suit against him.”

AEW actually re-hired Ace Steel a while ago. Of course, Ace Steel was the sticking point with CM Punk, because AEW was willing to re-hire Steel, but he wasn’t allowed in the building for their television taping events. AEW originally denied that they re-hired Ace Steel, but it’s pretty clear at this point that they did.

AEW also reportedly gave CM Punk and Ace Steel the impression that he would be a producer on Collision. The company changing this apparent agreement is also a sticking point.

We will have to see what happens in this situation. Obviously, there is a lot to unpack. Punk might be holding out for his friend, Ace Steel, but he also might face a legal issue if he doesn’t return to work.

What’s your take on the current CM Punk situation? Do you think AEW will sue him? Sound off in the comments!
