WWE Creative Has Not Been Informed About Return Of Defunct Title Belt

WWE has a lot of things going on right now, and it appears that the news isn’t slowing down at all. The company’s rumor mill is churning hard after Endeavor’s plan to merge UFC and WWE, but we have to put one rumored plan to rest.

A rumor is making the rounds saying that R-Truth might return with the 24/7 Title in tow. After all, his name was synonymous with that title belt for practically its entire run.

R-Truth is currently out of action with torn quad that he suffered while wrestling on NXT. That being said, he already teased his return could happen soon.

Ringside News reached out to confirm the idea that fans might see the WWE 24/7 Title belt return. We were told that nobody in creative has heard anything about these plans.

It was noted to us that it “doesn’t mean it’s not happening, it just has not been discussed, if discussed at all,” in front of the creative team. Obviously, the creative team would need to be aware of these plans, because the WWE 24/7 Title could present them with a brand-new batch of angles to explore.

We will have to see what happens in the months to come. Obviously, you never know what can happen in WWE, but it seems that the WWE 24/7 Title is still defunct after Nikki Cross won the belt and trashed it.
