WWE’s WrestleMania event will be here before we know it. Brock Lesnar is a regular name at the show of shows, and this year he will have quite an opponent. Omos and Lesnar will throw down in SoFi Stadium, and it seems WWE wanted a unique build for that event.

Fans were not pleased when it was revealed that Omos is Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania 39 opponent. That being said, Lesnar also rejected an idea to face Bray Wyatt at the show of shows, a move that might have been a good one considering the fact that Wyatt hasn’t been seen in weeks.

Brock Lesnar and Omos are slated for a weigh-in tonight on RAW. Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that WWE wanted to emulate UFC’s process of weigh-ins. He also noted the fact that WWE weigh-ins wouldn’t require anyone to strip down into a towel, because there are no weight limits for cutting needed for this contest at the showcase of the immortals.

WWE was looking to emulate UFC weigh ins, complete with towels, as of this weekend for Brock Lesnar and Omos.

However, the only reason towels would be needed in a UFC heavyweight weigh in is if one was trying to make the 265 pound heavyweight limit and had to strip down. There is no weight limit in the Omos vs. Lesnar match.

WWE has a lot of ideas floating around, and sometimes they borrow from other things. That inspiration can come from anywhere, including Adam Sandler movies, and even the UFC. It seems that WWE could be planning a very interesting angle for Brock Lesnar and Omos, or they might just scrap the idea.

Brock Lesnar has a history in the UFC, as a former Heavyweight Champion. It seems that WWE was interested in using that as a possible call-back to Lesnar’s own history. This is interesting, because he was just telling people backstage that he is finishing up with WWE.

What’s your take on this situation? Do you want to see Brock Lesnar and Omos strip down to their towels? Sound off in the comments!
