Big Cody Rhodes Match Teased For WWE RAW

WWE superstars are jockeying for position as the road to WrestleMania is rapidly approaching its destination. While the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes is already set for the main event at WrestleMania 39, he is doing everything to build hype surrounding his Rhodes to WrestleMania. That being said, Rhodes has invited SmackDown star LA Knight to RAW.

LA Knight has been an excellent addition to the blue brand. Ever since he reverted back to his original gimmick, LA Knight’s popularity returned to the same level as it was during his days in NXT.

Moreover, last week on SmackDown, a No.1 contender’s match took place between top superstars including Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Karrion Kross, Xavier Woods, and LA Knight. When McIntyre and Sheamus simultaneously pinned two opponents, the match ended in a tie. Now, McIntyre vs. Sheamus will take place this Friday, with the winner challenging Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania.

Only days after failing to secure his spot at WrestleMania, La Knight demanded for the spotlight on the biggest stage in the world. He posted on Twitter that he must have his WrestleMania Goes Hollywood moment.

“EVERYBODY knows you can’t have an LA Wrestlemania without LA Knight. But @wwe is late to the game, DRAGGING THEIR FEET on giving Wrestlemania the opportunity for an LA Knight moment. It’s about damn time I get a heads up. I’m done waiting.”

That caught the attention of Cody Rhodes, who invited him for a match on this week’s edition of RAW on Twitter.

“Well I don’t want to be outta’ practice by #WrestleMania If you’re in Providence, stand opposed…what are we waiting for? #WWERaw.”

LA Knight would be sharing the ring with perhaps the next Undisputed WWE Universal Champion on tonight’s edition of RAW if the match is made official, which would be a significant moment for him. Here is the line-up announced for the card.
