Shawn Michaels has been at the forefront of things when it comes to NXT, WWE’s developmental division. Michaels wants to create a roster of unique and gifted superstars, much as Triple H did while he was in charge of NXT. Moreover, the Showstopper has been recreating some angles from his own past and recently did the same again.

The first time Shawn Michaels did that was during an edition of ‘Ding Dong Hello!’ hosted by Bayley featuring Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin. The segment ended with Jayne turning on her former partner and putting her through the door in the ring, much like how Michaels did to Marty Jannety during the famous ‘The Barber Shop’ segment back in the day.

This week’s NXT Roadblock saw Roxanne Perez pushed to her very limit by Meiko Satomura in a high-stakes title match. Despite sacrificing her health, Perez defeated the Japanese legend to retain the NXT Women’s Title.

Despite her defeat, Meiko Satomura raised Roxanne Perez’s hand. Sadly, the champion collapsed in the ring from the effects of the harsh battle. Satmoura watched in shock as the referee realized Roxanne didn’t stand up and was stretched out of the arena to be taken to the hospital.

However, many fans are not aware, that this was also a past angle from Shawn Michaels’ playbook that was recreated. A fan posted on Twitter showing clips of both Roxanne Perez and Shawn Michaels passing out in the ring.

“First the Barber Shop Window…now this. I love you @ShawnMichaels !! 🤣🤣 #WWENXT.”

As the doctors led Roxanne Perez to the ambulance, the NXT Universe applauded her. Medical personnel loaded the stretcher onto the ambulance as The Roadblock came to a conclusion. We will have to wait and see what happens next for the NXT Women’s champion.
