Maria Kanellis’ first stint in WWE featured her pairing up with Santino Marella for a while, until she eventually joined a program with other stars such as John Cena. She and her husband Mike Bennett were released by WWE a couple of years ago as part of the budget cuts. She also underwent thyroid surgery recently and it seems the surgery went well.

Maria Kanellis first appeared in WWE in 2004 and quickly gained popularity for her beauty and charisma. Over the years, she has held several championships and has been a part of various storylines and feuds.

Kanellis is currently part of the AEW roster, but they have yet to see much of them. As previously reported, Maria Kanellis revealed that she underwent thyroid surgery.

The current AEW star took to her Twitter and provided an update on her condition after surgery. Kanellis revealed that her surgery went well and added what she did after that as well.

“Thyroid surgery went well. I even made it to Freddie’s performance at the high school, tonight. I was only at the game/halftime for about an hour but I am now exhausted!!!

“Carver’s 3rd Birthday was today too!! We did his party about 2 weeks ago. I’ll share those photos soon.”

“They removed the left side of my thyroid at Morris Hospital. It’s a wonderful hospital where we had both our children. The right side of my thyroid looked good, my doctor said so hopefully now the right side will start working normally and I won’t have to be on medication.🙏”

Maria Kanellis came back to WWE in 2017 alongside her husband. However, their run in WWE was largely uninspired, and they were released due to budget cuts. Naturally, she has a lot of opinions about the matter. She is more than happy in AEW right now and that’s all that matters.
