The Bloodline has been a very dominant faction for almost two years now for a variety of reasons. Comprising Roman Reigns, The Usos and Solo Sikoa, the faction has run roughshod over WWE for a long time. Sami Zayn was an honorary Uce for a long time until he turned on the faction at the Royal Rumble. It seems even Michael Cole thinks their storyline deserves an Emmy Award.

Following Roman Reigns’ successful title defense against Kevin Owens at The Royal Rumble, he and The Bloodline laid waste to Kevin Owens. Reigns then ordered Sami Zayn to hit Kevin Owens with a chair. Instead, Zayn betrayed Reigns and hit him right across the back.

Immediately after this, Sami Zayn was utterly decimated by The Bloodline, except for Jey Uso, who left the scene and wanted no part in it. It also continued on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown.

While speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Michael Cole talked about Sami Zayn and The Bloodline’s storyline. Cole stated that he thinks their storyline deserves an Emmy.

“This Roman Reigns-Kevin Owens-Bloodline-Sami Zayn storyline is probably the best television we’ve done in a decade,” Cole declared. “And it’s Emmy-worthy in many ways.”

WWE has tried to get an Emmy Award for years, but it hasn’t happened yet. They’e had Emmy Award-winning writers on their staff, but WWE has never pulled down the award for their own programming. Only time will tell if the Bloodline will get it done for Vince McMahon’s company.

Roman Reigns will be defending his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship against Sami Zayn at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. We will have to wait and see how the storyline will progress, as we head towards WrestleMania 39.
