Bandido impressed fans throughout his career, and that is a big reason why AEW had him compete against Chris Jericho on Dynamite last year. Bandido’s contract status after that was always a topic of discussion, and that’s why he finally inked a deal with Tony Khan’s company. That being said, Bandido has not been an active competitor for a while and that’s because he is dealing with a neck injury.

Bandido also picked AEW over WWE as he did not want to move. Bandido went on to compete in a few matches after signing with the company, as fans simply could not get enough of the talented star.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Bandido’s current absence from AEW television. Meltzer revealed that Bandido is currently suffering from a neck injury.

His neck is hurting, but I don’t know if he’ll be taking time off. He was not booked for last Wednesday’s show in Los Angeles. When he took the thing on Night one, he wrestled on night two, Saturday, when he took a bad bump; I saw him after the match, he was typical Bandido. Just fine and everything, but then I heard when he woke up the next day, his neck was pretty hurting but he is working through it. As far as I know, he’s working through it.

We certainly hope Bandido will not be out of action for a long time as fans simply want to see the young star come back in the ring and continue to entertain them. We will keep you updated on his injury status.
