Bandido impressed fans throughout his career, and that is a big reason why AEW had him compete against Chris Jericho on Dynamite last month. Bandido’s contract status after that was always a topic of discussion, and that’s why he finally signed with AEW. There was a good reason why he chose AEW as well.

Despite his loss, Bandido certainly made sure fans realized his worth. The former ROH World Champion became a very sought-after talent as well. He chose Tony Khan’s company over WWE in the end as well.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Bandido signed a 3-year deal with AEW and opted not to go to WWE simply because he wanted to be with his family more.

“In the end, he realized he couldn’t sign with WWE because he’s got a child in Mexico and his significant other doesn’t want to move from Mexico and he doesn’t want to not see his child all the time.”
