Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out in the middle of Raw back in May, and things simply spiraled from there. It has been more than seven months since the incident, and now Sasha Banks’ time in WWE is more or less done. While it is believed that Sasha Banks will make her way to NJPW, some are of the opinion that Banks will also debut in AEW right after that. Be that as it may, Booker T doesn’t think Banks going to AEW will be a good idea.

Sasha Banks scrubbed all traces of her time in WWE, and even previously made post where she had a hashtag featuring AEW. As previously reported, Sasha Banks is set to attend the Wrestle Kingdom 17 event in Tokyo Dome on January 4th, 2023.

However, Saraya is also set to face Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter on the January 11th episode of AEW Dynamite with a mystery partner. Many believe that the partner will be none other than Sasha Banks.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T made it clear that Banks debuting in AEW will not be the best thing for her. Booker added that he believes Sasha Banks will overshadow everything in the AEW women’s division.

“Putting Sasha Banks over by saying, ‘yeah I think she would do well over there [Japan],’ I don’t think that’s something that I would retract or anything like that. Do I think she would do well in AEW? I think she would overshadow anything that’s going on in AEW from the women’s side more than anything. I mean it’s not anybody over there other than Britt Baker that I think she really that genuinely matches up with her from a star power prespective, that’s just me. That’s just my personal opinion. I could be wrong.”

AEW was also advised to release talent and sign Sasha Banks. Despite her status, people in WWE still believe Banks will return to WWE. We will have to wait and see how Banks will fare in NJPW from next year.
