Jim Ross is one of the most beloved commentators in the history of professional wrestling, as he was the voice of a generation for many. Ross also isn’t one to mince his words, and he had some scathing remarks for John Laurinaitis recently. In fact, Ross didn’t back down from his comments about Johnny Ace.

Following Vince McMahon’s hush money scandal, Johnny Ace was placed on indefinite administrative leave, and his future was all but certain after that. Unsurprisingly, John Laurinaitis was fired by WWE some time later.

Jim Ross also recently state that Johnny Ace deserves the misery he is in. While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross addressed his negative remarks about Laurinaitis. Ross made it clear that he meant every single word.

“Oh, I meant it. I just don’t believe that’s how you repay somebody for their kindness. Here’s a guy that was out of a job, [and] had a young family. I hired him as my number two guy in my department, and how it ended up was typical chickensh*t pro wrestling. … Look, if the guy is a better manager than me, and he signed more stars than I, then so be it. I don’t believe that to be accurate. His goal was, like a lot of the boys, to get close to the boss.”

Jim Ross did apologize for being too blunt with his words, and he meant no ill will towards John Laurinaitis. The WWE Hall of Famer also believes Vince McMahon never really trusted Johnny Ace. We’ll have to see what the future holds for Laurinaitis next.
