Rhea Ripley is experiencing yet another breakthrough year. The 26-year-old Australian already has strong resume in WWE after winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, NXT and RAW women’s titles, and the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Championship. Becky Lynch recently dubbed Ripley as “the future of the business.”

Many of the biggest performers in the industry are taking notice of Ripley thanks to her affiliation with The Judgment Day, which has elevated her to a new level. Becky Lynch recently made a comeback from an injury, and they faced off in WarGames at WWE Survivor Series.

On the December 5th episode of RAW, the two engaged in an intense stare-down as eager viewers anticipated their upcoming battle inside the ring. Lynch recently praised the person she considers to be “the future of the business” in an interview with Verge.

I think Rhea is one of the greatest female athletes that we’ve ever seen. I think she’s incredible. She is so young, so full of potential. I look at her and I go, ‘Well, that’s the future of the business and the business is in good hands.’ She’s the future but I’m still the present. There can only be one Man around the place.

Lynch said that if it comes to it, she’ll put Ripley in her place. She also mentioned that Ripley is currently linked to someone who “The Man” is all too familiar with. Lynch has known Finn Balor, the head of Judgment Day, for more than 20 years because the Irishman assisted in her training. You can check out the full interview here.
