Miro debuted in AEW during the September 9th, 2020, episode of Dynamite as Kip Sabian’s Best Man. Following a rocky start, Miro became The Redeemer and had a stellar run as the TNT Champion before losing it to Sammy Guevara. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been seen on AEW television for a long time. The same can be said for Andrade El Idolo, and Tony Khan has finally commented on their absence.

While Miro was last seen at AEW All Out, Andrade El Idolo hasn’t been seen for well over a month, following his backstage brawl with Sammy Guevara. Fans have been wondering whether the two would return to AEW anytime soon.

While speaking during the post-AEW Full Gear press conference, AEW President Tony Khan addressed Miro and Andrade’s absence from AEW television. Khan stated that he still wants to see both of them involved while they remain absent even now. Khan also credited the size of AEW’s roster, which gives them the ability to miss big stars and not have a void on their shows.

When I started AEW I said I wanted a big roster and I wasn’t committing to everyone necessarily working every single week, or working people in and out of the cards, and that’s still something that I’m committed to. So, if people who aren’t on every event, I’d like to see them get involved.

We’ve seen people take sabbaticals and breaks and absences from AEW and come back and still be very involved, and I think that’s still potentially something you can see for both of those guys. I think both of them are great, and I’d like to see both of them get involved in the future.

Miro also wants to win the AEW World Title eventually. Andrade also made it clear he will not leave AEW either. Regardless, we will have to wait and see when both of them will return.
