Thunder Rosa was in the middle of her first reign as AEW Women’s World Champion when she got sidelined with a back injury. La Mera Mera was forced to take a break from in-ring action. She is set to appear at a fan meet & greet this Sunday.
AEW is offering fans a chance to meet Thunder Rosa in person on November 6, 2022. The company made the announcement via its official Twitter account on Thursday. Fans who purchase merch from Champ Sports will be able to meet either the AEW Women’s Champion or Lucha Bros.
Dallas!! @champssports is giving early access to YOU for the first drop of the Diadora x AEW: Player Edition. Come purchase either of the Lucha Bros inspired shoes on 11/5 at Champs Sports @ Shops at Park Lane, for a meet & greet with the Lucha Bros or Thunder Rosa on 11/6.
Thunder Rosa last appeared on AEW TV during the August 24, 2022, edition of Dynamite. An emotional Rosa revealed that night she was stepping down as the AEW Women’s World Champion. Tony Khan booked Toni Storm to replace her as the Interim Women’s World Champion.
Rosa recently explained that she will get an epidural in the coming two weeks, after which she may start getting ready to go back to work in January. She responded to the rumors that she exaggerated her injury as well.
