Thunder Rosa appeared in a backstage segment where she was crying. Tony Schiavone held the microphone as Rosa revealed that she is forced to step down as AEW Women’s World Champion.

A four-way match will take place at All Out to crown a new interim Women’s World Champion. Thunder Rosa did not disclose the reason she is dropping her title, but she did say something about an injury.

The participants in this fatal four-way were not revealed at the time. Thunder Rosa did say that she hopes Toni Storm can live her dream and become champion. They later revealed that the match will be Toni Storm vs Hikaru Shida vs Jamie Hayter vs Britt Baker.

We’ll have to see how this pans out, but they didn’t give Thunder Rosa a lot of time to make this heartbreaking announcement. You can check out the updated card below.
