Matt Taven and Mike Bennett have been causing problems for Impact Wrestling ever since they showed up at the promotion’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view event as part of Honor No More on January 8, 2022. Tonight, Impact Wrestling finally got payback on the duo.

Matt Taven and Mike Bennett confronted Impact Wrestling’s Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore in his office during the latest episode of Impact, which aired on Thursday. Matt Taven expressed his frustrations with Impact Wrestling. Mike Bennett, on the other hand, was livid that his wife got hurt.

After listening to their grievances, Scott D’Amore apologized to Matt Taven and Mike Bennett for putting them in a compromising position. The Impact official told the duo he’d always wanted them in his promotion. The three promised to put things behind them before Scott let them knew that they were fired.

The angle was done to write off Matt Taven, Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis from Impact Wrestling. The trio recently signed a multi-year deal with AEW. The Kingdom made their AEW debut during Rampage last week and attacked FTR.

Matt Taven will make his in-ring debut for Tony Khan’s promotion when he takes on Wardlow for the TNT Championship tomorrow night live on Rampage. You can check out the card for Rampage right here.
