Shinsuke Nakamura was a top star in Triple H’s version of NXT. The King of Strong Style captured the NXT Championship during his short yet impactful run on the black and gold brand. Tonight, he returned to NXT.

Shinsuke Nakamura made his surprise return to NXT at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida tonight. He was revealed to be Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo’s surprise opponent.

For those not in the know, Tony D’Angelo had told Channing Lorenzo last week on NXT that he’ll pick his protege’s opponent for this week. The Don of NXT worked through his connections and got Shinsuke Nakamura to appear on the show.

The match contained plenty of action, and Channing Lorenzo showed great heart as he tried to take down the former NXT Champion, who won the match with a huge kinshasa.
