GUNTHER Stakes Claim On Undisputed World Championship During 5/1 WWE SmackDown

The May 1 episode of WWE SmackDown is set to go down at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This episode saw a lot of things continue from WrestleMania, including GUNTHER’S path in the company.

Ricky Saints made his debut on the main roster this week on SmackDown. He immediatley got a match against Cody Rhodes, and although it was a non-title match, he gave it his all.

Cody Rhodes and Ricky Saints wrestled a good match, but in the end, The American Nightmare won. Then Cody’s celebration after the match was cut short.

GUNTHER jumped Cody Rhodes from behind and choked him out. Then he picked up the Undisputed World Championship, and he gave it a very good look. It seems that the Ring General wants another big run on top with the title.

This is an interesting development for GUNTHER. Many fans wondered what he would do next, after The Career Killer’s WrestleMania match against Seth Rollins. They have reset things for GUNTHER, but he’s still gunning for the top of the roster.
