Sammy Guevara remains one of the mainstays of AEW since its inception back in 2019. He used to be a beloved babyface, but that all changed as he is now back to being a despised heel.

Things have not been going well for AEW for the past couple of months. Andrade El Idolo was also involved in a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara. He was actually sent home before AEW Dynamite last week. Sammy Guevara was still on the show.a

Before this, The Spanish God had an altercation with Eddie Kingston as well. The brawl after AEW All Out is also fresh in the minds of fans.

While speaking on Vince Russo’s The Brand, Al Snow criticized how the controversy between Guevara and Andrade took place. He blamed the backstage brawls on wrestlers being Selfish.

I’m not criticizing what happened last night between Andrade and Sammy Guevara on Wednesday night, that stuff happens all the time. What I’m criticizing is, that what led to it, what exacerbated it, was this interchange in a public forum that should’ve never taken place, and this is happening more and more and more on a greater level. Because it’s not about the locker room, it’s about the individual who cares more about themselves than they do about the locker room as a whole.

Andrade El Idolo even made his way to AEW Dynamite to fight with Sammy Guevara. As it was previously reported, Andrade is trying to get fired from AEW. It remains to be seen whether he will remain a part of the AEW family or not.
