CM Punk debuted last year at AEW Rampage: The First Dance and instantly became one of their top stars. While he has been top star in every promotion he’s been in, Punk isn’t exactly the most likeable person in the locker room.

During the post-AEW All Out media scrum, CM Punk went nuclear on Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. It was reported that Omega and the Bucks threatened to leave AEW over Punk’s words.

Kevin Owens also seemingly threw huge shade at CM Punk after this. While speaking on the “Keepin’ It 100 with Konnan” podcast, Producer Joe Feeney explained why Owens and Punk have beef.

“They were in Ring of Honor at the same time and Punk was like one of the locker room leaders there,” Feeney said. “He was the head trainer and all that. He had a lot of sway and stroke. Owens was trying to get in. He did CZW and some Canadian indies and stuff like that, but much like we talked about earlier with Eddie Kingston, Punk didn’t like Owens for the shape he was in and that Kevin would wrestle in a T-shirt. He kind of wanted him to wrestle in a singlet and the word got back to Kevin. So he wrestled a match in a singlet.

It was against Vordell Walker and the match wasn’t good according to Owens, and then he came back to the locker room and he said jokingly to Punk, ‘Are you happy now?’ or something, and Punk got in his face, but that’s really it. He’s always kind of downplayed it but that’s a story that people keep telling. They just had a little altercation in the locker room about his gear I guess and the quality of the match.”

CM Punk and The Young Bucks were involved in an altercation as well. There’s lot more to this story. We will keep you updated on this ongoing story right here at Ringside News.
