Bayley Was Really Hurt By Dakota Kai’s WWE Release

Dakota Kai was one of the best things about NXT television because she consistently put on great matches during her time with the company. However, WWE released Dakota Kai from her NXT contract back in May.

Fans wondered what was next in store for Kai. The unbelievable happened as Dakota Kai made her shocking return to the company alongside Bayley and Iyo Sky.

While speaking with BT Sport’s The Run-In ahead of Clash of at the Castle, Bayley revealed that Kai’s release really upset her.

“She has so much to give. She was just getting to the peak of her career, and the fact that she was let go hurt me personally because she’s such a good friend of mine even before WWE and all this. And just the fact that we were letting someone so talented go. It was just one of the times I was getting on a flight to go home from Orlando; I was there for rehab, and I didn’t feel like getting onto the flight.

“I felt like going to her house and check on her, and I ended up sending her a bunch of crap she makes fun of me for. She was like ‘I didn’t die, I’m fine.’”

At Clash At The Castle, Bayley, Kai & SKY defeated the team of Bianca Belair, Asuka & Alexa Bliss, with Bayley pinning Belair for the win. We’ll have to see what’s next in store for them.
