Eddie Kingston made his AEW debut back in July 2020, where he competed against Cody Rhodes for the TNT Championship during his open challenge. While he was unsuccessful in the match, Kingston impressed many and signed with the company. He used that contract to become one of the company’s top stars, but a recent controversy saw the Mad King suspended.

Ringside News reported that Kingston and Sammy Guevara recently got into an altercation backstage. We were told that “Eddie is suspended” after a dispute with Sammy Guevara went awry.

In fact, Eddie Kingston was suspended right after the altercation, which led to him missing out on AEW Dynamite and Rampage tapings. While speaking to PW Insider, Eddie Kingston admitted he was in the wrong.

”You know the truth.  I wouldn’t lie.  I was wrong for being unprofessional.  That is the blind fact.  He did what he did and the public can judge that but I know for a fact I was wrong.”

Sammy Guevara has not been suspended by the looks of it. The company continues to promote Guevara vs Kingston for All Out, so perhaps the match will be happening after all.
