Ric Flair finally got the opportunity to retire on his own terms last month. The Nature Boy partnered up with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo and faced Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett on July 31st, 2022. He also couldn’t convince DDP to compete in the final match.

Flair took some scary bumps and even bled during the match, something that he was determined to do before the match. In the end, The Nature Boy won the match and somehow managed to finish without losing his life.

While speaking on The Sessions with Renée Paquette, WWE Hall Of Famer Diamond Dallas Page revealed that he turned down Flair’s offer to wrestle in the final match.

“Ric Flair actually called me and asked me if I would be in the match with him and do a six-man. At first he said, ‘How old are you?’ I said, ‘66.’ He said, ‘I’ve seen you. You’re in great shape. I really would love to have you in this match.’ I said, ‘Ric, I can’t do it. I feel so good. I can’t take a chance of hurting myself.’ He said, ‘I feel great.’ I said, ‘You’re not from this planet.’ That’s when he talked me into doing the roast.”

Ric Flair also regrets promising his retirement with his last match. Now that he is retired for good, we certainly hope Ric Flair does not try to wrestle again.
