Why Johnny Gargano Appeared On Impact Wrestling This Week

Johnny Gargano was considered the heart and soul of NXT by many fans due to his memorable feuds with the likes of Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole and others. He has had various nicknames such as Johnny Wrestling, Johnny TakeOver and more, and they are all for good reason.

Gargano left NXT earlier this year and since then has been enjoying his time away from pro wrestling. Gargano also made an appearance during an episode of Impact Wrestling.

During a vignette, he praised Alex Shelley ahead of his upcoming Impact World Championship match against Josh Alexander at Emergence. Fans started wondering whether that meant Gargano would join Impact Wrestling or not.

According to Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, it was revealed that this was just a favor for a friend. It was also reported that Gargano was not in talks with the promotion.

Johnny Gargano also left WWE because he didn’t want anyone to be in control of his time. We will have to wait and see where Gargano will end up next, as Impact Wrestling doesn’t seem to be his destination.
