WWE has been having a hard time getting The Judgment Day stable off the ground. Things started great, as Edge joined forces with Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. After a supernatural gimmick was pitched for the group, Edge backed out and was written out of the storyline. Now, Rhea Ripley is on the shelf and the group simply cannot find any traction.

Rather than have Damian Priest and Finn Balor appear on Raw without Ripley, WWE made an interesting choice this week. The duo instead competed on Main Event. Balor and Priest picked up a victory against The Mysterios.

The nature of Rhea Ripley’s health issue is unknown. Bianca Belair announced during Raw that she was not going to be medically cleared to compete before Money in the Bank. A five-way match was held to find a replacement opponent for the Raw Women’s Championship match.

Since kicking Edge out of the group, The Judgment day has presented itself as an equal unit without a leader. That could be the reason for not including only part of the stable on television. Most fans are not lining up to watch Main Event, though.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes for Rhea Ripley to return. WWE had big plans for The Judgment Day. Unfortunately, there have been several failures to launch a major push for the group.

It will be telling if Finn Balor and Damian Priest don’t return to television as Rhea recovers from her medical issue. It is too early to pronounce The Judgment Day as being abandoned. For the moment, though, wrestling on Main Event instead of Raw is not a good look.
