WWE has had to make lot of changes to its plans for the upcoming Money in the Bank premium live event. Injuries to several key superstars as well as slow ticket sales have caused the planned venue and card change quite a bit. The Raw Women’s Championship match between Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley was one of those changes.

On last night’s Monday Night Raw, Bianca Belair revealed that Rhea Ripley would not be medically cleared in time for Money in the Bank. Therefore, a five-way match was scheduled to determine Belair’s new opponent for the event. It was ultimately won by Carmella.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Rhea Ripley’s health situation. At the moment, WWE is not sharing any information on her condition. Dave made a couple of educated guesses about what might have her on the shelf.

“I don’t know what the situation is. I’m hoping to find out, but I’ve asked around and nobody seemed to know what the exact thing is. The usual suspects when they don’t say something is COVID or a concussion and in both cases, you would most likely be back by July the 2nd. COVID, very likely back. Concussion, you know, it varies and everything like that but you wouldn’t adamantly say they won’t be back.

It could be a knee injury or something like that, but yeah, no details of anything at this moment. Probably will come out tomorrow, I’m going to guess. But, yeah, not ready on July the 2nd. [Bianca Belair] pretty much talked about that I will give her a championship match when she comes back, whenever that will be, whether it’s July the 30th, whether it’s a period later.”

With Rhea Ripley out of action, it will be Bianca Belair taking on Carmella for the title at Money in the Bank. That matchup may be underwhelming to many fans. We will have to wait and see how long Rhea will be out, but Bianca has promised the match will eventually happen.
