Jim Ross Believes CM Punk Will Be More Motivated When He Returns From Injury

CM Punk proved all doubters wrong after becoming the new AEW World Champion at AEW Double Or Nothing. Fans had high expectations from his reign but that is no longer the case. Jim Ross also believes Punk will be fired up and motivated once he returns from injury.

As seen on last week’s episode of AEW Rampage, CM Punk revealed that he is injured. This shocked fans as they believed another Summer Of Punk was going to happen.

While speaking on his podcast “Grilling JR”, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross talked about CM Punk’s injury. Ross stated that he believes CM Punk will be fired and motivated when he returns from injury.

“It is very unfortunate. If anybody can work their way through it, it’ll be Phil Brooks, AKA CM Punk, no doubt. So I don’t have any qualms or any hesitation regarding, you know, how CM Punk’s going to return. He’ll return healthy, and fired up, and motivated.”

CM Punk has already undergone successful surgery. He also likely suffered foot injury. It remains to be seen when the Second City Saint will make his triumphant return to AEW television.
